The history of this private mansion began in 1941. Military, housewife, traveller, aesthete or today painter, each generation of the family has brought its own life experience to this building in which artists and travellers have succeeded one another for many years. Close to theatres, cinemas, the cultural centre as well as the main historical, gastronomic and tourist sites, the Hotel Central Bastia accompanies the city’s major events throughout the year.
In the heart of the old town, in a 19th century building, Hotel Central Bastia offers twenty eight different facilities, (from the small cosy room on the second floor to the large suites and apartments on the top floors) gravitating on 6 levels around a remarkable stone staircase.
No elevator here. You will gently climb the steps, surrounded by the portraits of those who made and still make the life of this unique place.
While respecting the architecture of the building, the Central Bastia Hotel has been constantly renovated over the years.
Parquet floors, old tiles or terracotta tiles cover the floors.
